In the interest of developing and promoting Yoga therapy around the world to contribute to the health and wellness of our communities, called for the following:

• Developing a shared theoretical framework for Yoga therapy that respects the teachings of traditional Yoga • Information sharing among Yoga therapists around the world • International cooperation to conduct Yoga therapy research • International cooperation to promote Yoga therapy worldwide

To do this, support will be given to establishment of a Global Consortium on Yoga Therapy.

Research Methodology and Statistics Workshop: Faculty Empowerment Program Prashanti Kutiram: A 5 days' Workshop on Research Methodology and Statistics with R was conducted in Anvesana Research Laboratories from 9th – 13th July 2018. Dr. Judu Ilavarasu, faculty member of Division of Yoga and Physical Sciences, and Dr. Raghavendra Bhat, faculty member of Division of Yoga and Life Sciences were the resource persons. Theory of research methodology and statistics were covered along with hands-on training in statistical analyses using R statistical software. Around 50 members participated in this workshop and also gave valuable feedback. Dr. R Chandrashekar, the Dean of Academics, Dr. B Amaranath, the Registrar and Dr. N K Manjunath, the Research Director, distributed the certificates to all participants, in the valedictory programme.
