Online statistical software could be valuable for statistics teaching, but not for serious data analysis according to several limitations The use of free statistical software packages depends of data analysis needs. User has great possibilities to choose the most appropriate software. Quite good choice could be PSPP and MYSTAT or R language. However, this language requires extensive learning and training for students with no programming skills There are the professional commercial statistics packages that can be good alternative to SPSS. However, those are often expensive and in many cases beyond the means of the students or individual users The separate course “Statistical software” could be valuable for students after mathematical statistics studies to acquire skills for work with appropriate software
