Karen (Ren) Antonowicz of Spirits of Fashion returns on Tues., March 31 at 11:00 a.m., to present this fascinating look at the glamorous fashions on the silver screen dur- ing the ‘30s, ‘40s, ‘50s. This era was not only glamorous and influential, but was en- joyed as an “escape” from the problems of these decades. In the depression era, folks could attend the movies as a way to forget their current circumstances, while the films OPEN DAILY served as both escapism and news reporting during the long years of World War II. FOR BREAKFAST Finally, the 1950s movies continued to show elegant fashions that were inspiring to the & LUNCH audiences of that period, but the advent of television caused fashion influence to be split between the silver screen and the smaller TV in America’s homes. Join us as we travel through these fascinating decades and enjoy a glimpse into the glamour of that golden age. Please call to sign up for this event. The Senior Center Café is closed on 3/6 & 3/13

IRISH INSIGHT

St. Patrick was a gentleman Always remember to forget

Who through strategy and stealth, The troubles that passed away.

Drove all the snakes from Ireland. But never forget to remember

Here's toasting to his health. The blessings that come each day. But not too many toastings Lest you lose yourself and then Forget the good St. Patrick May your right hand always And see all those snakes again. Be stretched out in friendship.
