OPPORTUNITY FOR TOURISM DATA COLLECTORS

The Department of Tourism through its Expanded Public Works Programme in partnership with other stakeholders has an opportunity for young unemployed graduates to be trained and employed as data collectors for the development of a National Tourism Information and Monitoring System.

This opportunity exists in the following municipalities in the

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAMME

 South African citizens  Should be residing in the same municipality the opportunity exists  Between 18 and 35 years of age  Should at least be in a possession of a minimum NQF level 4 Qualification (i.e Degree, National Diploma, or higher qualification in Tourism, Statistics or Related Field etc.)

All applications must include a CV, certified qualifications, certified Identity Document and Proof of Residence obtainable from the municipality or ward councillors within the municipality.

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo an interview process. Successful candidates will be placed for a period of 12 months in the municipalities they reside in. It is the intention of the department to promote representativity (race, gender and disability) through training and employment opportunities.
