SENIOR FAMILY PRACTITIONER

The RISE Trust is a charity that works within the North of Wiltshire and we are passionate about delivering high quality, support services to our children, young people and families. The Rise Trust works with families to help them to get back on their feet and to deal with life’s challenges in ways which make things better for them and their children.

A job opportunity has arisen for a warm and enthusiastic man or woman to work with children and parents in ways that make a real difference in their lives. The RISE Trust is seeking to appoint a new team member to lead practitioners, and support our Children’s Centre work across , including centre based sessions and outreach work in the community. This role will include linking with identified Early Years settings to engage and support vulnerable parents so they increase confidence in their parenting skills and learn new parenting techniques. With the support of the Senior Family Practitioner we aim to develop parent’s understanding of how their children learn in order to improve their child’s outcomes.

Post available:

• Senior Family Practitioner: £8.69 - £9.10 per hour (depending on experience and skills) covering , Cricklade, and . • Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week, flexible working according to the needs of the service, however full time 37.5 hours, all year round working preferred.

Applicants must: • Hold a professional qualification in child care at a minimum level of NVQ3 or equivalent • Have recent experience of working with children and parents • Have a confident understanding of safeguarding policy and procedures • Have excellent communication skills and be able to present information confidently

• Have experience of carrying out regular and accurate recording both through IT and handwritten accounts • Car driver and use of a car essential
