POSTGAME NOTES Houston Texans vs. FirstEnergy Stadium | Nov. 15, 2020

Team  The club’s 6-3 overall record is the best by a Browns team since 2014 (6-3).  The club’s 4-1 record at home is also its best since 2014 (4-1).  RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt had 100-plus rushing yards and five-plus yards per carry in today's win over the Texans. They're the first pair of Browns teammates to each reach the 100- yard rushing mark in the same game since Ernie Green and HOF in Week 5, 1966 vs. Pittsburgh—the first season of the Super Bowl era.  With 231 total rushing yards today, the 2020 Browns have now rushed for more than 200 yards in three games, the most since 1978 (four games).

Myles Garrett  DE Myles Garrett tied Dwight Freeney as the fifth-fastest player in history to reach 40 career sacks (46 games), behind Reggie White (35 games), Aldon Smith (38 games), Derrick Thomas (42 games) and Von Miller (45 games).  Garrett also became the fastest Brown to reach the mark, 30 games ahead of the previous record holder (Michael Dean Perry, 76 games).  Garrett became the first player in the NFL to reach 10 sacks this season.  Garrett’s 40 sacks also tied Freeney for the fifth most by a player in his first 46 career games.  His 40 career sacks also tie Freeney for the fourth-most sacks by a first-round pick in his first 46 games.  His 40 career sacks passed Mario Williams for the second-most sacks by a No. 1 overall pick in his first four years, behind only Bruce Smith (44.5).  Garrett has now registered three consecutive seasons of nine or more sacks in the first nine games, the first player in history to accomplish the feat.  Garrett has posted at least a half-sack in seven of nine games this year, tied with Emmanuel Ogbah (playing currently) for the most games in 2020  The Browns are 6-1 in 2020 when Garrett posts a half-sack.  Garrett is one of only five players to have at least 40 sacks since 2017.  Garret added a season-high two TFLs and reached 40 for his career.

Nick Chubb  In his first game back from injury, RB Nick Chubb led the game with a season-high 126 yards on 19 carries with a .  Chubb tied Isaiah Crowell for eighth on the Browns’ all-time rushing list with 21.  This was Chubb’s 27th game with at least 50 rushing yards, only four back of ’s 31 for most by a Brown in his first three years.  Chubb now has 28 career games of 50-plus scrimmage yards, third by a Brown in his first three years.  This was Chubb’s third 100-yard rushing performance of 2020, tied for the third most games in the league.  Chubb now has 14 100-yard rushing games in his career, fifth most by a Brown in his career, and the Browns are 10-4 in those games.  His 14 100-yard rushing games tie Ezekiel Elliott for the most in the league since 2018 and tied Jordan Howard (2016-18) for the third most by an active player in his first three seasons.  Chubb added a season-long 59-yard rush. Chubb has recorded a rush of 50 yards or more at least once in three consecutive years, the fourth Brown to accomplish the feat and the first to do it in his first three NFL years.  He’s the first player in the NFL to have the streak in his first three years since LeSean McCoy (2009-11).  Chubb added three carries for 10-plus yards today, placing him sixth in the NFL with 17.  He leads the league with seven rushes for 20-plus yards.

Jarvis Landry  WR Jarvis Landry has now recorded at least two receptions in 104 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL and the fifth longest streak in NFL history.  Landry registered his 600th career reception today.  Landry is the eighth player in history to reach 600 receptions in 105 games or less.  Only Landry, Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins have reached 600 receptions since Landry entered the league in 2014.

Kareem Hunt  RB Kareem Hunt set a season high with 104 rushing yards on 19 carries.  He’s currently fifth in the NFL with 633 rushing yards and second with 24 rushes for 10-plus yards, after adding four today.  Hunt has registered at least 50 scrimmage yards in every game this year, tied for the longest streak in the NFL this year (nine games).  Hunt is now tied for seventh in the NFL with 35 rushing first downs and is second in the NFL with 277 fourth-quarter rushing yards.  He is now sixth in the league with 321 rushing yards after contact.

Other Notes  DT Larry Ogunjobi recorded a half-sack, his first sack of the season.  DT Sheldon Richardson split sacks in the first and second quarters for a total of one on the day, bringing his career sacks number to 30. o Richardson is second on the team with 3.5 sacks this year.  LB Mack Wilson reached 100 career tackles.
