LEO/YOUTH REPORT

Current Leo Membership: 10 Just one Peace Poster entry was received from the initial 4 schools approached. Thanks for those for attending our VP meeting. Its good to get input from everyone. A grateful thanks to Karen who hosted the end of 'pig poo' for the season. A Beautiful hot summers afternoon that was enjoyed by those who attended. Wayne and Howard were going to be the car rally organizers from VP3 but someone else has put their hand up. All the easier to organize with volunteers. The Christmas float!! Tini got some ideas which was more than what Kirstyn and I had got. But we did have a couple of ideas floating about. Once again Quentin has come to the rescue. I was hoping to have a fun night out in November unfortunately my plans are not able to come to fruition until possibly March. Some Lions Ladies had an afternoon at the Melbourne Cup held at 5 Stags.Great afternoon had by the attendees. Oxford Lions had put out a request for help at their Big Family Day Out held on Friday the13th November. Kirstyn, myself and 2 of her Leos were able to help on the day. The day was fun, full on and almost perfect weather. If they ask for our help again for this event I will ensure that I am there. Great day awesome money maker, maybe Rangiora & Oxford should try something like that here. In the New Year we have thought about having a "garage sale trail". Don't throw out your saleable items please. That will be where several Lions have a garage Sale at their place all on the same day. Watch this space !. Maureen Hampton DIARY these dates
