Apologies for absence were also received from County Councillor B Bentley and District Councillor P Doodes. 54 Minutes of the Previous Meeting The Minutes of the Full Council Meeting held on the 7th November 2018, were read, confirmed as a true and accurate record, and signed by the Chairman. 55 Minutes of the Planning Meeting The draft Minutes of the Planning Meeting held on the 17th December 2018 were read and adopted by the Full Council. 56 Clerk’s Report on Matters’ Arising All matters arising were included elsewhere on the agenda. 57 Disclosures of Interests There were no disclosures of interest on any items on this agenda nor were there any changes to the Register of Interests. The meeting was then suspended. 58 Reports from the County Councillor on matters from the County Council affecting this Parish. County Councillor B Bentley sent a written report in which he said; Please accept my apologies for this evening’s meeting. Unfortunately, for 2019, Parish Councils in the Wealden East, County Council Division have scheduled their meetings in such a way that they clash throughout the year. Wartling and Horam now hold their meetings on the same Wednesday dates and Hooe and Herstmonceux meet on the same Mondays. -

CHALVINGTON WITH RIPE PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in the Hayton Baker Hall, Ripe on Thursday 9th May 2019 PRESENT: Cllr Webb (Chairman until item 5) Cllr Dashfield Cllr Dunbar Dempsey Cllr Rogers Cllr Ward Cllr White ATTENDING: District Councillor D Watts, A Stevens (Clerk) and four members of the public were also in attendance. 1. Apologies for Absence Apologies for absence were received from Parish Councillor Lady Conway and were accepted by those present. 2. Acceptance of Office All the Parish Councillors present duly completed their Acceptance of Office, Register of Interests and Consent to Receive Electronic Agendas Forms and handed them in to the Clerk. 3. To elect a Chairman for the ensuing year Cllr White proposed and Cllr Dunbar Dempsey seconded Cllr Lady Conway for the role of Chairman to Chalvington with Ripe Parish Council. All were in favour. Cllr Lady Conway had confirmed before the meeting she was happy to accept the role if she was offered it. 4. To elect a Vice-Chairman for the ensuing year Cllr Ward proposed and Cllr White seconded Cllr Dunbar Dempsey for the role of Vice Chairman to Chalvington with Ripe Parish Council. All were in favour. Cllr Dunbar Dempsey confirmed she is happy to accept the role and, in the absence of Lady Conway, chaired the rest of the meeting. The meeting was then suspended. 5. Questions from the Public Mrs Philipps described her application (WD/2019/0629/F) and said the accommodation was needed to help her run her business and therefore stay in her home. -

County Councillor B Bentley said; • The County Council has set its budget for 2019-2020. The ESCC precept will increase by 2.99% and the Police precept will increase by £24. • Reports stating the County Council is cancelling its Meals on Wheels service are wrong. The County Council stopped the service three years ago, it is the subsidy which was introduced to help residents transfer to private companies that has now stopped. • The County Council was to stop providing its English as a Second Language Service because the Secondary Schools were no longer going to buy into it. -

DRAFT MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD on 19th January 2021 at 7.00pm via Zoom 1. Present Councillors John Gillies (JG: Chairman), Nikki Terry (NT), Sue Carroll (SC), Sarah Last (SL), Lesley Prosser (LP), Richard Sellick (RS) and David Smart (DS). District Councillor William Meyer (WM) and Alison Stevens (AS) were also in attendance. There was also one member of the public present. There were no apologies for absence. The meeting was suspended. 2. Public Questions There were no questions from any members of the public. 3. Updates from the County and District Councillors There was no report from the County Councillor on this occasion. District Councillor Meyer had walked down The Street and bridleway recently and was shocked to see the state they were in. He recommended Councillors keep pursuing the matter with the County Councillor and said he would also talk to her on their behalf. 4. Disclosures of Interests There were no disclosures of interest on any items on this agenda nor were there any changes to the Register of Interests. 5. Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 17th November 2020 The Minutes of the Full Council Meeting held on the 17th November 2020, were read, confirmed as a true and accurate record, and signed by the Chairman. 6. Planning Councillors considered the following planning application; SDNP/20/05439/FUL - Iford Farm, The Street Iford BN7 3EU - Consolidation of farming activities at Iford Farm through the erection of 2 No. cattle sheds, straw barn and machinery shed incorporating fertiliser store and welfare facilities and hard standing; new farm access from C7 Piddinghoe Road, conversion of redundant building to commercial B8 use and regularisation of established commercial uses in adjacent buildings; and landscaping including woodland planting, surface water attenuation pond and wildlife planting to create biodiversity net gain. -

2016 Valuation – Valuation Report | Hymans Robertson LLP Appendix H: Rates and adjustments certificate In accordance with regulation 62(4) of the Regulations we have made an assessment of the contributions that should be paid into the Fund by participating employers for the period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2020 in order to maintain the solvency of the Fund. The method and assumptions used to calculate the contributions set out in the Rates and Adjustments certificate are detailed in the Funding Strategy Statement dated 27 February 2017 and our report on the actuarial valuation dated 30 March 2017. Regulation 62(8) requires a statement of the assumptions on which the certificate is given regarding the number of members, and the associated liabilities arising, who will become entitled to payment of pensions under the regulations of the LGPS. These assumptions can be found in Appendix E of the 31 March 2016 formal valuation report dated 30 March 2017. These assumptions cover members who become entitled to payment of pension via normal retirement and ill health retirement. Further members will become entitled due to involuntary early retirement (for redundancy and efficiency reasons) for which no allowance has been made. The required minimum contribution rates are set out below.
