MIP-3 (CCL23), human Recombinant Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 (CCL23)

Instruction Manual

Catalog Number C-65860 Synonyms C-C motif 23, Small-inducible A23, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3, Myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor 1, CK-beta-8, MIP-3, MPIF-1, CKB-8, CCL23, MIP3, MPIF1, SCYA23, CKb8, Ckb-8-1 Description MIP-3 is a CC chemokine that signals through the CCR1 receptor. MIP-3 chemoattracts , resting T-lymphocytes and , but does not chemoattract activated lymphocytes. Additionally, MIP-3 has been shown to inhibit colony formation of myeloid immature progenitors. Recombinant human MIP-3 is an 11.3 kDa non-glycosylated, single polypeptide chain of 99 amino acid residues. The recombinant MIP-3 has been purified using proprietary chromatographic techniques. Quantity 20 µg Molecular Mass 11.3 kDa Source E. coli Biological-Activity Determined by its ability to chemoattract human population using a concentration of 10- 50 ng/ml. Specific Activity see below Formulation White, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered (0.2 µm filter), concentrated (1mg/ml) protein solution in 20 mM PB (pH 7.4), and 150 mM NaCl. Reconstitution Please Note: Always centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. Reconstitute in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use. Purity Greater than 97% (determined by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC analysis). Endotoxin Level < 0.1 ng per µg (1EU/µg) of MIP-3. Storage The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted MIP-3 should be used immediately or stored in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% endotoxin-free HSA or BSA; e.g. Cat.No. C-69500A). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
