"Assistant District Attorney E.A., Conger has spend considerable time tracing Ms.. Brymer's movements and he finds that she was a young woman of spotless character."

"Miss Brymer was born in Dundee, Scotland, twenty-five years ago. Her mother died when she was three years old; her father, whose initials are not known, lived until recently at No. 35 Shortlands Road, Leyton, , . A brother, William S. Brymer, is a private in the English Army, stationed at Lucknow, India."

"After her mother's death, Miss Brymer went to live with her grandfather, Robert Brymer, at Balmerino, Scotland, where she remained until she was fourteen or fifteen years old. She went to school there and finally returned to her father at Dundee where she is remembered for her interest in church work and her singing in the choir. The pastor of the Dundee Congregational Church when she came to America, gave her a letter to use in this country."

"Miss Brymer was a little over eighteen years old when she arrived at Meriden, Conn., to make her home with her aunt, Mrs. Agnes Ferguson, a respected resident of that place. The young Scotch girl was ambition (sic) to learn something by which she could make her own way in the world and after passing a year with her aunt she took a position in the Meriden Hospital where she was obliged to submit to an operation for chronic intestinal trouble due to abnormal conditions established at birth. Afterwards she went back to her father in Scotland in May, 1907, and remained with him one year, when she came back to this country and secured a position at the Tagus Soldiers' Home in Maine."
