Mathematics Easter Raffle International Mathematical Modelling Challenge Last week, four teams of students from Year 9, 11 and 12 participated in the International Mathematical Modelling Challenge, a team-based mathematical competition where participants work collaboratively to solve a real-world problem by devising and applying an original mathematical model.

Wraps with Love

Easter is next week, traditionally this is when Manly students and the wider community begin

their knitting for Wraps with Love.

Students can come to the Library for knitting needles and wool to commence knitting squares for 2018. Squares are to be 25cm x 25 cms.

Please knit with 8 ply and 4mm or the old 8 size needles. Cast on 50 stitches and continue until it

becomes a square (around 100 rows). Last year

there were over 100 students who contributed towards this community project and our school knitted over 40 blankets that were sent to the charity Wraps with Love, their website states
