During the watching brief a large assemblage made up of pottery and glass was recovered, this all dated to the post-medieval period; a small number of prehistoric worked flints were also recovered. The only feature identified was a modern brick built soak-away.

An evaluation of some 19th century outbuildings at Baldwin’s, Keymer was undertaken. The evaluation identified 3 buildings that had been built during the latter half of the 19th century. Only one of the buildings were seen to have intrinsic value.

It is thought that some of the earlier house may have been incorporated into the present house. The property is Listed Grade II and consists of a two storey house with artic rooms and partial cellars dating from the min 18th century with a single storey attached outbuilding with 19th and 20th century alterations. The property has been altered several times with the introduction of a Victorian partition dividing the main Drawing Room and subsequent additions and changes to the south-east corner and the addition of a north entrance in the 20th century. A heritage statement was undertaken after further alterations were purposed to the property.
