Grandfather Ashlock- A rare tomato variety with exceptionally delicious, sweet flavor. Large potato-leaf plants produce good yields of 12-16 ounce fruit.

Granny Cantrell German Red Heirloom Tomato 85 days This meaty, beefsteak-type tomato is named after Lettie Cantrell, who received seeds from a soldier returning from Germany during World War II. She grew this tomato in the hills of eastern Kentucky for many years. This was her favorite tomato and the only one she grew. Each year she saved seeds from the largest tomatoes, some of which reached 2 1/2 lbs. A customer Favorite.

Jerusalem Heirloom Tomato Greene County heirloom. The story is that a man traveled to Israel, and brought these seeds back with him. Large, firm, meaty oxheart type, with few seeds and not a great deal of juice. Great for slicing. The best tomato for California Pie. Rich flavor is fantastic- the perfect blend of sweet and acid. Vines are quite manageable, and very productive over a long season.

Mark Twain 85 days This indeterminate slicing tomato named after the famed 1800’s author, who disliked tomatoes, is fantastic for eating fresh in sandwiches or salads. Growing as big as 24 ounces, these oblate shaped, crack resistant, full flavored, deep red tomatoes are rare and don’t take a lot of handling once harvested, so be sure to eat them soon after.

Mortgage Lifter Heirloom Tomato 85 days Pink, well-shaped, large, meaty fruit famous for its flavor. An amateur plant breeder developed this tomato over years of selection. He paid off a $30,000 mortgage in thee years (way back in the day) by selling plants and tomatoes from his radiator repair shop.

Polish- 85 days, indeterminate, A potato-leaf type that produce large, one pound, moderately smooth, pink fruit that appears rich red. (Pink tomatoes, by definition, have clear skin over red flesh. If the flesh is very deep color, the tomatoes appear more red.) Excellent flavor, among the best heirlooms.

Tappys Heritage Tomato- 85 days. Beautiful, smooth, large red fruit is globe-shaped. With good disease resistance, great yields, perfect shape, and wonderful flavor; it’s superb for market growers. Apricot Brandywine 85 days Ind. Meaty, yellow beefsteak with fruity, sweet flavor. Great for slicing. Beautiful, blemish free fruit on vigorous, productive vines.

Dr. Carolyn-63 days, ind. One of the most flavorful yellow cherry tomatoes. Excellent balance of sugar, tartness and depth of flavor. Pale yellow, round, 1¼ in. fruits typically borne 6 to a cluster. Large, vigorous vines.

Great White Heirloom Tomato 75 days. Large, 1-lb giant with creamy white fruit. This tomato is superbly wonderful. The flesh is so good and deliciously fruity, it reminds one of a mixture of fresh-cut pineapple, melon and guava. One of our favorite fresh-eating tomatoes! Lillian’s Yellow Heirloom Tomato 88 days Tennessee heirloom unique for its pale, not golden, yellow fruit. Superb, creamy consistency, meaty flesh, and complex, rich flavor. Sweet & juicy, but with few seeds. A top 10 heirloom. Make a yellow , or pie.

Persimmon Heirloom Tomato 80 days One of the best flavored of the orange tomatoes. Beautiful, golden-orange and BIG- between one and two pounds, and averaging 5 inches in diameter. Meaty with few seeds. Vigorous and productive, too.

White Cherry 75 days Pretty, creamy white/ very pale yellow. Very sweet and mild flavor, and extremely productive. Really pretty in salads with edible flowers.

White Currant 70 days, indeterminate. Dime sized, sweet, earthy fruits are light yellow and have a soft texture, perfect for snacking in the garden. Busy vines like sprawling everywhere.

AussieDrop- 90 days, dwarf plants reach up to three feet tall and produce small, two to seven ounce, heart shaped, red- brown fruit. A very beautiful tomato with rich, sweet flavor.

BrandyFred-75 days, dwarf plants produce high yields of smooth, purple, 10-16 oz fruit with rich, well-balanced, flavor.

Dwarf Peppermint Stripes- 85 days, dwarf plant produces oblate, green and pink striped fruits with flesh that is green with pink marbling. Fruits average eight to twelve ounces. A delicious slicer variety.

Dwarf Round Robin- 90 days, dwarf plant to three feet tall. Very productive. Its small , 2-3 oz fruits are thick, meaty globes with dark red color and green stripes, and excellent, well balanced flavor.

Dwarf Sweet Sue- 80 days, indeterminate dwarf , but grows up to 5 feet tall by the end of the season. Round fruit is bright yellow with pink blush when very ripe. Size varies from 5 to 18 oz. Flavor is rich and balanced with sweet overtones.

Bicolor Tomatoes

Big Rainbow Heirloom Tomato 80 days A beautiful and delicious bi-color beefsteak tomato. The golden shades dominate but the red shade accents the color of both the flesh and skin. Productive plants with tomatoes growing to 1 to 2 pounds.

Georgia Streak Heirloom Tomato 80 days Plant produces good yields of 1 to 2 lb bi-colored beefsteak tomatoes. It turns golden yellow with red streaks when mature. They are very sweet, juicy, and flavorful. Perfect for sandwiches, salads, and slicing.

Hillbilly Heirloom Tomato 85 days From, (where else?), West Virginia. Huge yellow-orange tomato with red streaking. Sweet, fruity flavor. Fruits usually 1 to 2 pounds. It’s a good’un.

Lucky Cross- 90 days, indeterminate. Juicy, flavorful, bicolored fruit from 16-20 ounces, with ribbing at the shoulders. Recommended to us by tomato guru Craig LeHoullier.

Mr. Stripey Heirloom Tomato 56 days HUGE crops. These 2 inch tomatoes are red with clearly-defined yellow stripes. Rich, tangy flavor. Beautiful in salads, either whole or sliced.

Old German- 90 days, Ind. Red orange bicolor with rich, sweet, juicy heirloom tomato flavor. Vigorous and productive vines. 16 oz fruit.

Pineapple Heirloom Tomato 82 days A customer favorite bicolor tomato. Originally from Kentucky. Meaty and smooth texture, with lots of juice. Fruity and sweet, low acid flavor. Large, up to a pound or more. Fruits are absolutely gorgeous; yellow with red streaking. Especially pretty sliced.

Pink Boar 80 days This 4 ounce gem is pinkish-wine colored with metallic green stripes. A great producer and is a definite winner if you want a smaller, juicy, sweet tomato.

Ruby Gold (90 days) Open-pollinated. Indeterminate. As aesthetically appealing as it is delicious, Ruby boasts prolific beautiful huge red-streaked yellow fruits with marbled interior flesh, meaty with superb mild sweet flavor, smooth melting texture with nary a hint of acidity.

Striped German Heirloom Tomato 78 days Bicolor red and yellow fruit. The flat, medium to large tomatoes with variable shoulder ribbing are shaded yellow and red. The marbled interior looks beautiful sliced. Complex, fruity flavor and smooth texture. Medium-tall vines bear 12+ oz. fruit.

Virginia Sweet Heirloom Tomato 80 days. One of the best tasting, best producing bicolored tomatoes. It is a huge golden-yellow beefsteak variety with red streaks and weighs about a pound. It has an excellent sweet rich tomato taste that goes well in salads and snacks.

Cherry Tomatoes

Black Cherry Heirloom Tomato 75 days. Beautiful black cherries look like large, dusky purple-brown grapes; they have that rich flavor that makes black tomatoes famous. Large vines yield very well; very unique and delicious.

Brad’s Atomic Grape- 75 days. Elongated, large cherries in clusters. The color (and flavor!) is a full-blown assault on the senses—lavender and purple stripes, turning to technicolor olive-green, red, and brown/blue stripes when fully ripe. Really wild! Fruit holds well on the vine or off, making this amazing variety a good candidate for market growers. Olive green interior is blushed with red when dead-ripe. Crack-resistant fruit is extraordinarily sweet!

Dr. Carolyn -63 days, ind. One of the most flavorful yellow cherry tomatoes. Excellent balance of sugar, tartness and depth of flavor. Pale yellow, round, 1¼ in. fruits typically borne 6 to a cluster. Large, vigorous vines.

Honeydrop -70 days, Ind. exceptionally sweet, fruity, and full-bodied tomato flavor. The ideal snacking tomato. Very productive plants.

Purple Bumble Bee 70 days Purple, round with metallic green striping. Excellent sweet flavor. Purple Bumble Bee is an eye-catching combination of the dusky purple seen in heirloom tomatoes and metallic green striping.

Sunrise Bumble Bee 70 days Yellow, round cherry tomato with red stripes and pink interior marbling. Sweet, bright flavor. Gorgeous combination of yellows and reds, inside and out. Excellent sweet and tangy flavor.

White Cherry 75 days Pretty, creamy white/ very pale yellow. Very sweet and mild flavor, and extremely productive. Really pretty in salads with edible flowers.

Japanese Black Trifele 81 days In Russia the Trifele varieties of tomatoes (of which there are several colors) are highly prized and command big prices. This short potato leaf plant yields prolific quantities of 6 oz. fruit that looks like a beautiful mahogany-colored Bartlett pear with greenish shoulders. Very tasty flesh with a meaty core that produces luscious fruit all summer long. A work of art sliced out on a plate and a wonderful flavor that possesses extraordinary rich and complex flavors. The Black Trifele is one of the blackest varieties available and is resistant to cracking.

Amish Paste Heirloom Tomato 85 days Very productive, flavorful and reliable. Bigger and better than Roma. Makes the ultimate sauce. Flavor is complex and slightly tart.

Black Plum Heirloom Tomato 75 days Sweet, elongated, mahogany-hued, fat fruits with intense, complex tomato flavor, deep and rich with a sweet, tangy aftertaste. Consistent producer of 3” plum-shaped tomatoes that get “blacker” in hot, sunny conditions. Thick walled with lots of meat, they are wonderful for fresh eating, or sliced into a salad. Also makes a memorable sauce with its complex, lingering flavors. A great canning or drying tomato.

Cancelmo Family.90 days, indeterminate. All-purpose variety equally well suited for sauce or slicing. Fruit size and shape variable, from 5-16 ounces, and generally pointy and heart shaped, but all sizes consistently meaty, with smooth, balanced flavor with a slight tang. Most fruits are at larger end of size range.

Howard German Heirloom Tomato 80 days A favorite of the late local tomato guru Sandee Cook. The Amish also call them "Pepper Tomatoes". Prolific harvests of 5-1/2 inch long, pointed paste tomatoes that weigh about 5-8 oz., very meaty with a good, rich flavor. An old variety great for canning, paste, or sauces. Also delicious right off the vine in salads. Just the best all purpose tomato. Very resistant to disease and bugs, as well! Returning next year

Opalka Heirloom Tomato 85 days So sweet and refreshing, it can be eaten straight off the vine, but is highly prized for sauces and canning. Fruits are far richer and more flavorful than most paste tomatoes. A long, pepper-shaped type, fruits grow to 4 to 6" long.

Principe Borghese- 70-75 days. Determinate. The Italian heirloom that is famous for sun drying. Small 1-to 2-oz, grape- shaped fruit is very dry and has few seeds. It has a rich tomato taste that is wonderful for sauces. Vines yield clusters of fruit in abundance

Rutgers 74 days, IND. Legendary Jersey tomato, introduced in 1934, and still popular for it’s outstanding flavor and value as a slicer and canner. Round, red fruits are slightly flattened.

San Marzano Heirloom Tomato 80 days Considered the gold standard for tomato sauce. A is similar in appearance to a , but thinner and more pointed. The walls of the tomato are much thicker with fewer seeds, which makes San Marzano tomatoes less acidic and sweeter than other tomatoes. The San Marzano has high sugar content and is very high in pectin, giving sauces and pastes a natural creamy thickness. The tall, mostly determinate plants are quite disease resistant and load up with fruit for canning. 5 oz. 80 days

Speckled Roman- A contemporary heirloom with beautiful yellow streaking on red fruits, Speckled Roman is the result of a stabilized cross between Banana Legs and Roman Candle. It boasts the typical shape of tomatoes in the "paste" category, long and slender like a horn pepper. Like other good "processing" tomatoes, Speckled Roman has a great, tangy tomato flavor, is on the drier side, quite meaty, with few seeds. Harvesting these is quite a treat and they add a nice touch to other colorful heirloom varieties. Nice yields make it suitable for market growers

Aunt Ruby’s German Green Heirloom Tomato 85 days. Yes, they’re green, but they have a wonderful flavor you won’t believe!! Fruits up to a pound have an amber pink tinge on the blossom end when ripe. Sweet, tart, rich and spicy. From Ruby Arnold of Greenville, TN.

Cherokee Green Heirloom Tomato 86 days One of the best green tomatoes. Medium-size 8+ oz. green fruits acquire some yellowish-orange color on the blossom end when ripe. Lots of bold, acidic, complex tomato flavor.

Green Giant- 85 days. Potato leaf. Outstanding, complex flavor, productive plants. Large emerald-green fruit is smooth and blemish-free, sweet and juicy, with few seeds.

Green Zebra- 75 days. Chartreuse with deep lime-green stripe vs, Flesh is bright green and flavor is rich, sweet with a sharp bite to it. Small, salad type tomato with excellent yield. Black, Blue, and Purple Tomatoes

Alice’s Dream. 80 days, Ind. Beautiful, delicious fruit with concentrated, rich flavor. Indigo tomato parentage and extra anthocyanins. Skins are blushed with indigo-tinted reds and oranges and flesh is golden with fiery red hearts. Productive.

Black Brandywine Heirloom Tomato 80-120 Days A favorite and category winner in Kingsport's tomato fest. Expect large yields of well-formed, oval shaped, deep black fruit. Flavor is excellent.

Indeterminate. Although this one says 80 days, it is usually among the first if not the first tomato in the garden to ripen, and it always bears all season, too.

Cherokee Purple Heirloom Tomato 77 days A Tennessee treasure. A top 10 heirloom. Flavor is outstanding; rich, smoky, and wine-like. 10-13 oz fruits are dusky brownish purple with dark green shoulders and brick red flesh. Indeterminate, but with short vines.
