* “Agriturismo” is an Italian word combining agriculture and tourism. Agriturismo refers to models of tourism involving an escape from the chaos of the city to experience the local agriculture, natural environment, and enjoy cultural exchange. It is said to have originated in Europe, and is enjoyed around the world, particularly in Italy.

Concept The overarching concept of Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Nasu is to create an “agriturismo resort.” The Nasu area () is home to Mount Nasu, and has a beautiful natural environment, which is heavily involved in the growing of crops like highland vegetables, herbs, and rice. Each guest can also personally experience the beauty of the four seasons in Nasu and enjoy a range of activities throughout the year. This is one of the reasons why Hoshino Resorts decided to use Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Nasu to showcase both the beauty of the Nasu area and a new kind of resort, by giving people opportunities to experience the local growing practices, along with meals at the resort and a variety of activities. Using the fields, greenhouses, and activity facilities on the resort grounds as a base, Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Nasu will provide an agriturismo resort where guests can have fun in nature, surrounded by the Nasu scenery, which changes every season.
