This has evolved into an extremely diverse and exciting night program of label showcases, CD presentations, guest performances, live acts and special one off performances in record stores and museums. During ADE’s Thursday between 18.00 - 21.00 there’s an instore event in these record stores. Culture: Why not visit a museum? Among the must-sees are the Van Gogh museum (yes, dedicated to the painter), Foam’s Photography museum (Keizersgracht 609) and the Stedelijk Museum’s temporary location at the Post CS building, also home to BG and Club 11, ADE festival’s locations. Last year: over 475 acts and DJs performed during ADE (http://www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl/ade2007) including Arthur Baker, Benny Benassi, Dave Clarke, Don Diablo, Estroe, Goose, Josh Wink, Kraak & Smaak, Paul van Dyk, Rex the Dog, Ricardo Villalobos, Sander Kleinenberg, Shinedoe, Sven Väth, Tiefschwarz, Tiesto and Zuco 103. Fedde le Grande the dj/producer behind the worldwide hit ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ performed five times during last years ADE (http://www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl/ade2007), which included Pete Tong’s radio show on BBC Radio 1. ‘I was very impressed with the set up, the location and the professionalism of the whole event. Business was genuinely done in the day and the panels seemed to provoke some meaningful debates. The night life was pretty awesome. Across three nights there were some amazing parties – all very busy and very exciting. I was very happy we took the radio show to Amsterdam, the timing could not have been better with Fedde Le Grand and Mason riding high with two of the hottest records in the world right
