Today’s is Parshat Tzav – Vayikra 6:1 – 8:36. The is from the prophet Malachi 3:4-24 and is one reason for calling this Shabbat “HaGadol.” Verse 23 speaks of HaShem sending Eliyahu HaNavi before the arrival of the “great and awesome day of the Lord.” This verse is repeated at the end of the Haftarah.
