Lists and reports regarding celebration/ commemoration of days and events of national and international importance

The university celebrates days, persons and events of regional, national and international importance. It follows protocol in celebrating Republic Day, Independence Day, Maharashtra Day and other national holidays. In addition, days marking the birth and death anniversaries of persons of note are marked with veneration of their image with a garland in the presence of students and staff. Days such as Day and National Science Day are celebrated in the university activities like talks, workshops and interactions.

Peace', on 21 st June 2015 by department of Sports of this university as per the guidelines and protocol of the Ministry of AYNUSH and UGC Circular DOF. No. 1-1 I 2015(secy) dt.14/05/2015,

The yoga training programme was orgnised in the university campus under the guidance of Mr. Ramchandra Garad (Yogacharya) Mr. Amratwar and his team Yoga teacher and expert .

The demo given by the expert yoga teacher for the participant.

More than seventy five (75) officers, teaching and non teaching faculties and students were participated and practiced yoga and celebrated the International Day of Yoga.

International Day of Yoga 2019

The International Day of Yoga celebrated as a mission of 'Yoga for Harmony and Peace', on 21st June 2019 by department of Sports of this university as per the guidelines and protocol of the Ministry of AYNUSH . Hon. Vice - Chancellor Dr. Udhav Bhosle and More than seventy five (75) officers, teaching and non teaching faculties and students were regularly participated and-practiced yoga and celebrated the International Day of Yoga.

Looking importance of Yoga the Yoga Training Camp orgnised by The Department of Sports and Physical Education on the occasion of celebration of University Silver Jubilee year and International Day of Yoga for University teachers, officers, employees, students and others.

The Yoga Training camp was organized from 17 to 23 June 2019 at S. R. T. M .U. Nanded Indoor Sports Hall. Daily two sessions in the morning6.15 am to 8.00 am. the yoga training was given to the participants.

The expert yoga teachers Dr. Jadhav & Prof. Sudhakar Joshi of Ambika Yoga Kuter, Nanded was appointed as yoga trainer for the camp. Dr. Seema Sabnis, Dr. Chaya Koute & Prof Lalita Kumbhar yoga experts assist above trainers for above training camp. Dailly more than 75 participants were present in the yoga training camp.

As per routine of the University teachers, officers, employees and students the yoga expert scheduled the yoga training for the camp. Hon. Vice-chancellor Dr. Udhav Bhosale, Dr. Ramjan Mulani Registrar, Dr. V.R. Parihar Director of Sports & other dignities along with several University teachers, officers, employees, students and others were present every day for the training camp. The inauguration of yoga training camp was done by the auspicious hands of Hon. Dr. Udhav Bhosale Vice-chancellor in the presences of Dr. Deepak Bachewar Hon. Management committee member, Dr. Ramjan Mulani Registrar, Dr. V.R. Parihar

Director of Sports, Shri Udhav Hambarde Senate Member & other dignitaries, teachers, officers, employees, students and others were present for the function. The yoga training camp started on 17thof June 2019 & conceded on 23rd of June 2019. The concluding ceremony was conducted on 23rd of June 2019 at 8.00 am Hon. Dr. Udhav Bhosale Vice-chancellor felicitated the expert yoga teachers Dr. Jagannath Jadhav & Prof. Sudhakar Joshi of Ambika Yoga Kuter. Dr. Seema Sabnis, Dr. Chaya Koute & Prof Lalita Kumbhar yoga assist experts by issuing certificate and honourium. The participants share the experiences, opinions regarding positive impact of attending yoga training camp. Majority of participant demanded to continue the camp regularly. Dr. V.R. Parihar expresses his words of thanks. For this function Hon. Management committee member Dr. Deepak Bachewar, Dr. Ramjan Mulani Registrar, Dr. Sinku Kumar sinh, Shri Udhav Hambarde Senate Member & other dignitaries, teachers, officers, employees, students and others were present.

Catalyzed and supported by The National Council for Science and Technology Communication(NCSTC), DST, Govt. of India & Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission, Govt of Maharashtra. 1. Popular Maths Exhibition

Math Poster competition is organized on 16th January 2019 for the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Mathematics students on the theme “ Mathematicians and their Contribution”. Wide publicity is given about this competition in well advance and as a result 117 (52 B.Sc+65 M.Sc.) students participated in this competition. We have organized this competition separately for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. The prize amount for winners in each category is Rs.2000 for first prize, Rs.1000 for second prize, Rs.500 for third prize and Rs.250 for two consolidated prizes. Judges for this competition are Prof. J.N. Salunke, Prof. R.N. Ingle, and Prof. R.S. Jain.

The Exhibition was arranged in School of Mathematical Sciences premises, and is inaugurated by our director Prof. D. D. Pawar. He was extremely happy about the response for this event and wished every participant for their presentation. Dr.S.M. Jogdand, Dr. B. S. Reddy, Smt. J.D. Mashale have shared their views on great Mathematicians and their work and students were very enthusiastic and motivated during these talks. After the inauguration of this event, Tea and snacks have been provided to participants. Then judges have given 5 minutes for each participant for their presentation and they have given scores based on their presentations. Presentations went on even after the lunch and based on the judge’s opinion, the winners for both categories have been reported by the judges.

The valedictory function of this even is organized at 4.00pm. Jury members shared their opinion of the program and how the participants have presented. They also gave some suggestions to betterment of the students performance. Then certificates along with prize money were distributed to the winners and participation certificate to all the students who have taken part of the event.

Dr. D. D. Pawar, Director, School of Mathematical Sciences and Dr. B. Surendranath Reddy were the program coordinators of this event. Dr. B. Surendranath Reddy anchored the whole event and thanked each and every one who helped in organizing this program successfully.

Popular Maths Lectures is organized on 16th January 2016 for the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Mathematics students on “ Current Research Areas in Mathematics”. We have invited eminent Mathematicians from different states of our country.

Our Director Dr. D. D. Pawar inaugurated this program by welcoming all the speakers with flowers and addressed the students about the opportunity to listen and interact with great Mathematicians and he congratulated the School of Mathematical Sciences for organizing such an event which is beneficial for students who are interested in research. He hoped that many people will take up research in Mathematics.

After the formal Inaugural function, speakers delivered lectures on various research topics and their applications in real life problems etc.

Participants have actively participated in all the lectures and most of the time they were interactive by asking doubts and interesting facts. All the speakers were very happy about the participant’s active involvement during the entire program. Tea and snacks have been provided to participants during lecture break. Mementos and certificates have been given to the speakers by Prof. D. D. Pawar.

Math Poster competition is organized on 19 th January 2016 for the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Mathematics students on the theme “ Mathematicians and their Contribution”. Wide publicity is given about this competition through news papers and aakasvani radio, in well advance and as a result 63 students participated in this competition. We have organized this competition separately for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. The prize amount for winners in each category is Rs.2000 for first prize, Rs.1000 for second prize, Rs.500 for third prize and Rs.250 for two consolidated prizes. Judges for this competition are Prof. J.N. Salunke, Prof. R.N. Ingle, and Prof. R.S. Jain.

Chaudhari, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and Prof. D.D. Pawar and Dr. B.S. Reddy from School of Mathematical Sciences, SRTM University.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Pandit Vidyasagar Ji inaugurated this program by welcoming all the speakers with flowers and addressed the students about the opportunity to listen and interact with great Mathematicians and he congratulated the School of Mathematical Sciences for organizing such an event which is beneficial for students who are interested in research. He hoped that many people will take up research in Mathematics.

All the speakers were very happy about the participant’s active involvement during the entire program. Tea and snacks have been provided to participants during lecture break. Mementos and certificates have been given to the speakers by Prof. J.N. Salunke and Prof. D. D. Pawar.
