FAST FACTS FOR BASKETBALL HALL OF FAMER NANCY LIEBERMAN Hall of Famer and Two-Time Olympian First Female Head Coach in a Men’s Professional League for Team Power in the Big 3 League First Female Head Coach to win a Championship Title in a Men’s Professional League (2018 – BIG3 League) Former Assistant Coach with the Sacramento Kings Second woman in history to coach in the NBA Founded Nancy Lieberman Charities in 2009 Recognized as one of the top 40 female athletes of the last 40 years by both ESPN and Sports Illustrated. Became the first Female Head Coach to lead an NBA or NBA Development League team when she led Dallas Mavericks’ D-League team, the Texas Legends, to the playoffs in their inaugural season. Former Assistant General Manager for the Texas Legends. First GM and Head Coach of the WNBA’s Detroit Shock in 1998. Recorded the highest winning percentage of any WNBA expansion team and was runner up for WNBA Coach of the Year. Served as an analyst for ESPN/ABC for the NBA, WNBA and NCAA Women's Basketball. Became the oldest player in WNBA history when she played for the Phoenix Mercury at 39 in the league’s first season in 1997. NBA ANNOUNCES AFFILIATIONS WITH NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE FOR 2010-11 SEASON - Dallas Mavericks Begin Affiliation with Frisco-Based Texas Legends - NEW YORK , July 6, 2010 – The National Basketball Association and the NBA Development League, the official minor league of the NBA, today announced the affiliation system for the 2010-11 season, including first-time affiliations between the Dallas Mavericks and the Frisco-based Texas Legends, new to the NBA D-League for the 2010-11 season; the Los Angeles Lakers and the Bakersfield Jam; the Golden State Warriors and the Reno Bighorns; and the Orlando Magic and the New Mexico Thunderbirds. For the sixth consecutive year, each NBA team has one NBA D-League affiliate to which it may assign players in their first or second NBA season. “The direct affiliation between NBA and NBA D-League teams continues to benefit players, coaches, and basketball fans," said Dan Reed, NBA D-League President. "Nearly one-third of all NBA Draft picks have played for their NBA D-League affiliate since the program's inception, and these affiliate relationships are a key reason why 20 percent of all NBA players have NBA D-League playing experience." Entering the sixth year of direct affiliations between NBA and NBA D-League, a number of teams continue to build on strong affiliation relationships developed over past seasons. The Washington Wizards begin their fifth year as the parent club of the Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), while the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) have also been affiliated since the 2006-07 season.

Nancy Lieberman Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy, "Lady Magic," Lieberman is a true pioneer in women's sports. Her extensive resume includes: WNBA player, coach, general manager, sports broadcaster for ABC, NBC, ESPN, and FOX Sports Southwest (FSSW), motivational speaker, author and the first female coach of a men's team under the NBA umbrella. Lieberman was also the first woman to play in a men's professional league. Currently, she serves as the assistant general manager for the Texas Legends, NBA Development League team and official minor league affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. In the 2012-13 season, she joined Fox Sports Southwest as an Analyst on the Oklahoma City Thunder Pre & Post-Game shows, Thunder LIVE! In 1975, Lieberman secured one of 12 spots on the USA National Team and went on to earn a silver medal at the World Championships and a gold medal at the Pan American Games. The following year, prior to enrolling at Old Dominion University, Lieberman became the youngest basketball player in Olympic history (male or female) to earn a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Montreal. Transitioning to the collegiate stage, Lieberman became a three-time All-American and set several school records that still stand today as a member of the Lady Monarchs. She also led Old Dominion to two consecutive National Championships, a WNIT Championship, and was the first-ever two-time winner of the prestigious Wade Trophy. After finishing her collegiate career, Lieberman began her professional career with the Dallas Diamonds of the Women’s Basketball League in 1981.
