Obedience & Rally limited to 50 dogs each event. Entries will open on April 15th, 2021 at 9:00 am. These limits are to help you keep safe distancing while participating in these events and not overtax capacities of our facilities. We request that you show at your designated ring times and vacate the area upon completion of your competition.

COVID-19 Best Practices: • DO NOT COME IF YOU FEEL SICK or have Flu-like symptoms!! • DO NOT COME if you feel uncomfortable participating in these events. • Participants are required to follow state, local, and facility guidelines that are in effect at the time of the events. • You will be required to wear a mask (face covering) while in the building. You may not enter the building if you are not wearing a mask, which means you will be required to wear a mask in the ring while competing with your . You must bring your own mask! • Masks are required while competing in the outside rings or as directed by the judge or steward. • Practice social distancing consistent with current guidelines. Avoid congregating to the extent possible. • Wear masks when in close proximity to others whether you are inside or outside of a building. • Avoid physical contact with others such as shaking hands or hugging. • Avoid touching dogs that are not your responsibility. • Avoid common use of pens/pencils – bring your own. • Remember to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently and do not touch your face. • By entering these shows you agree to abide by these guidelines and accept your own responsibility to any possible exposure to Covid-19 or other airborne diseases. Access to electrical hookups is not guaranteed. We have a LIMITED number of spaces available so reserve early. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis within the limits available. All 50 AMP power will be split. All RV parking reservations MUST be mailed - Hand delivery of reservations to parking committee will NOT be accepted. All RVs must be escorted to their parking spaces. Do not proceed to any RV parking space without an escort. All RVs must have working fire extinguishers. All vehicles must be completely self-contained. No discharge of gray water or sanitary tanks allowed. All RVs using a generator must have a proper exhaust pipe venting away from dogs & people. This is a simple ten minute procedure normally done without tranquilization. Results are confidential and owners will be provided with a printed copy of the result for their records. Attention Owners/Exhibitors of Foreign Registered Dogs If you are the owner/exhibitor of a dog registered with a foreign registry (not yet dual registered with AKC) please review the eligibility requirements in The Rules Applying to Dog Shows, chapter 11 section 1. The dog show rules are posted on the AKC Web site at http://images.akc.org/pdf/rulebooks/RREGS3.pdf. Most important to note are the following: 1. Dogs must be individually registered with the American Kennel Club by the day of the event to be eligible for exhibit in the Bred by Exhibitor class. 2. Dogs are eligible to compete in AKC events using the foreign registration for a period of 30 days. That 30-day period begins with the date of first exhibit, regardless of whether the dog earned any points or awards. To continue to compete in AKC events beyond the initial 30-day period the dog must be either individually AKC registered or by the date of the event have been granted an extension to exhibit using the foreign registration. Hangtown-Sierra Cluster - May 29 - 31, 2021 - 9 AKC Sanctioned 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Competition Entry Fee: $20.00 per puppy each day JUDGING WILL BE INDOORS One combined class will be offered for breeds and varieties of dogs that are (4) four months & under (6) six months and divided into Groups as described in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds as listed in Chapter 3, Section 23. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in each Breed/Variety, each Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed/Variety winner will then compete in their respective group for First through Fourth Placements. The Miscellaneous Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a Miscellaneous 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. The Foundation Stock Service Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a FSS 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. All First Place Group Winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show. An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed or Miscellaneous breed. FSS number or FSS registered litter number will be required for FSS entries. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend. Minors (under 18) with amateur status who reside with professional handlers and current assistants to professional handlers that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age & amateur status requirements) may personally exhibit dogs in 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Competition. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. 10 - Hangtown-Sierra Cluster - May 29 - 31, 2021 AKC National Owner-Handled Series (Remember to check the box near the bottom of the entry form) The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry on the entry form. Dogs entered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be marked as eligible to compete in the NOHS. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge's book, steward's book & the catalog.Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers*, household members and current assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any NOHS competition during the entire show. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels, Whippets & Miniature Bull Terriers. The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Cirnechi dell'Etna, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows and Keeshonden. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent’s Office advised at once.
