My Bernina Machine Classes

My Bernina Workbooks are used as a guide for all classes. When you purchase and pick up your machine at the Bernina Connection you will download a free Sewing Machine Workbook from our web, www.berninaconnection.com/ machine-mastery.htm. You are responsible for printing out the appropriate workbook prior to class and bringing it with you to class. It is suggested that you punch holes in the Sewing Machine Workbook and place it into a three ring binder for of use. For every class you will need to bring your machine, all of its accessories, the appropriate Sewing Machine Workbook and the materials listed below.

#1 Basic Operation*: (for all Bernina and Bernette models) Kit Fee: $5.00 • One spool of 50 wt Aurifil in a color other • Microtex 80/12 Sharp needles than white, beige, gray, or black • One bobbin filled with the same thread •

#2 Fun*: (All computerized Bernina models) Kit Fee: $5.00 • One spool of 50 wt Aurifil thread in a color other • Microtex 80/12 Sharp needles than white, beige, gray, or black • One bobbin filled with the same thread • Scissors • One spool of clear monofilament thread • Twin Needle Size 1.6 or 2.0 • Twin needle size 100/16

#3 Creative Options*: (all artista 640,730, and 8 series models) Kit Fee: $5.00 • One spool of 50 wt Aurifil thread in a color other • Microtex 80/12 Sharp needles than white, beige, gray, or black • One bobbin filled with the same thread • Scissors

Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) Mastery Kit Fee $5.00 • Bring sewing machine, its accessories, your Bernina Stitch Regulator foot, Aurifil thread in colors listed above, a bobbin filled with Bottom Line thread, a new 80/12 needle.

Embroidery Machine Intro*: (all Bernina and Deco machines) Kit Fee: $5.00 • Bobbin filled with 60 wt. white bobbin thread (we recommend Bottom Line bobbin thread) • Your machine and module, medium and large hoops with templates • Bernina #26 foot, Deco Embroidery foot • Clear Dry cover up • Water soluble pen • Organ embroidery needles #75 or #80 sharps • HR5 or 505 spray • Double sided tape • Terrycloth wash cloth or hand towel • Aqua Film topper • Tear away stabilizer • Small curved point embroidery scissors • Long pointed-end tweezers • 3 colors of 40 wt Isacord embroidery thread

Series (820 & 830) Machine Mastery: Kit Fee: $10.00 One spool of 50 wt. Aurifil thread in a color other than white, beige, gray, or black, one bobbin filled with the same thread, an additional spool of Aurifil thread or bobbin in a second color, a spool of Razzle Dazzle, New Mictotex 80/12 and 90/40 Sharp needle, a Double needle - size 2.5/80.

*Some exercises apply only to models equipped with the highlighted feature.

Note: Please arrive early enough to set up your machine before class begins. Be sure to check in at the counter to get your name tag and kit. Classes are small, so please register early and cancel at least 24 hours in advance, if necessary.

By the Way: It is important to have all your materials before class begins and have your sewing machine set up and ready to sew. Our teachers make every effort to start on time and we want you to get full benefit of the class experience.

No refunds for visiting teachers. ♦ Materials list is provided at time of registration. All brands of sewing machines and sergers are welcome in our classes (except Ma- chine Mastery). ♦ As a courtesy to others, please turn off cell phones during class. ♦ No kids in adult classes; no adults in kids classes. ♦ Loaner machines are available for $10.00 rental fee at time of registration. ♦ You may bring your lunch (we have a refrigerator) or we will take lunch orders for a local restaurant at your expense. ♦ We do our best to make everyone happy but we’re all on different “thermostats”. You may want to consider bringing clothing layers which you can put on or take off to keep comfortable. ♦ Label all your equipment (rulers, scissors) to avoid mix ups. 5/21/2011
