I learned about how to properly climb using the legs, planning a route, different types of holds and grips, and foot techniques. This is also mentioned in the description but is important because I do not want people to purchase things they already have.In any case, the reason for splitting the books up in the first place was so that those that just wanted certain portions could get it without having to pay for the bigger book.I have not met many people who did not enjoy climbing when they were a child. Trees, rocks, the family roof, I loved to climb them all, and perhaps you did to. The point is that as children we needed no instruction on how to climb, we just did. That is because climbing is a natural instinct in all of us.As we get older and stop "practicing" we lose the skills. Luckily the skills can be re-learnt. Furthermore, we can learn the best ways to do things.Like most of the books in the Survival Fitness series, the only intention for this one is to give an introduction to the basic maneuvers and foundational techniques needed to climb.Actually, the basics are all you really need.
