But the committee’s report said he needs to work on improving the performance of English Language Learners (ELLs), bringing the school district into compliance with special education standards and engaging families. PEABODY — Mrs. Mary E. (McCarthy) Holloway, 94 years, of Peabody, died in a local nursing home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019. She was the wife of the late Elsworth E. “Al” Holloway. She was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Lillie P. (McCormack) McCarthy. She was raised and lived in Lynn most of her life, and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1943. Mrs. Holloway retired as an onsite clerk for the De- partment of Social Services in their Lynn of ce. She was an avid reader and enjoyed tricia McCarthy, all of Lynn. crosswords and trivia.
