ENOICA ROAD (6 days – 5 stages – Km 500 – m. 8,200 elevation)

Day 1: arrival at (Sardinia) Participants are required to land/arrive at Olbia within 7:00 pm to be transferred to the hotel for the briefing, welcome dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Olbia – Oliena (99 km – 1,600 m. elevation) Bus transfer to Budoni for the depart towards Oliena in a path dominated by Monte Albo, a spectacular limestone massif. A true "warm up" ending in the Supramonte, full of landscapes that alternate sea and mountains. Overnight stay and typical dinner combined with Cannonau, a typical local wine, at the renowned Su Gologone resort. Day 3: Oliena - Aritzo (83 km – 2,000 m. elevation) From Oliena to Aritzo, once the site of the snow trading, passing through Orgosolo with its famous murals. A mountain stage, which will show us the diverse "Barbagie" of this part of Sardinia. A trip to the stately Gennargentu massif, with a scenic stretch on a mountain road with 2 km of gravel (there is a possible alternative route). Overnight stay with dinner based on traditional Sardinian products at the Sa Muvara resort.

Day 4: Aritzo – Arbus (long/easier 121/110 km – 1,400/1,100 m. elevation) This stage descends from the mountains of the Barbagia to the hilly landscapes of the Marmilla and the Monreale, passing through Laconi and , with highlight of the day the Giara di and its wild little horses (gravel stretch). Arrival in the town of Arbus, at the gates of the Costa Verde and accommodation at a hotel with a typical local dinner (an alternative easier route is available). Long route Medium route

Day 5: Arbus - (long/medium 102/73 km – 1,800/1,200 m. elevation) From Arbus to Carloforte, an exciting journey to discover the Costa Verde with a backdrop of a Mediterranean scrub, immense beaches and the dunes, the highest in Europe. But also an evidence of the passed mining civilization through its industrial "monuments". From Portovesme, a short ferry ride to Carloforte on the island of San Pietro with a “Genovese” heritage and famous for its tuna traps. Accommodation at a local hotel and dinner based on tuna and wines (an alternative easier route is available). Long route

Medium route Day 6: Carloforte – (103/92 km – 1,300/1,100 m. elevation) Last stage from Carloforte to Pula through the Sulcis region in the deep south of the island, alternating coastal stretches with inland areas, passing through the awesome salt flats of Sant'Antioco, the medieval village of , and Teulada in a mix of colors and perfumes. Overnight in a resort by the sea with dinner and toast to celebrate the finish line (an alternative esasier route is available). Medium route

One or more vehicles will follow the group along the route providing assistance and luggage transportation. Staff and assistance

Enoica staff will have everything necessary for emergency repairs. It is mandatory to have the bicycle checked before departure, in order to avoid wasting time on issues due to poor maintenance. Refreshment

Cyclists will be supplied with food, beverages and supplements during the whole ride. However we suggest bringing your own energy bars, gels and mineral salts. What to bring

Participating cyclists must cautiously respect the road rules and follow the guide’s instructions. Sport activity suitability and disclaimer form

Cyclists are requested to send a copy of a current medical certificate stating that they are fit for cycling and sport activity. They will be provided with a Cycling Association membership that includes an insurance. Furthermore to participate to the Enoica Road, cyclists will be asked to sign a disclaimer form.
