July Riverview Farm Update By Jojean Keller

Ground work lessons have begun with lunge line practice. Each of us had the chance to try several types of lunge lines, including those that were weighted and those that were flatter and more lightweight. In order to experience the actual feel, each participant had the chance to be the horse, which we all enjoyed especially when we got to be ‘naughty’. At the other end of the line, we were able to develop several ways to deal with those naughty horses.

Lessons are off to a great start, Lesson Time between rainstorms! We have 3 trainers and several new riders, coming back to riding after years! What fun it is to see Coolimg Off such happiness and enthusiasm from people who are eager to learn or re-learn their riding skills.

We are also happy to have an ongoing training program to condition our horses, before the productive riding season. The Riverview staff is enthusiastically constructing a multi- faceted versatility course to challenge horses and riders. If we've seen it, or heard about it, we'll add it. We're all looking forward to the challenge!

Hope you have a fun, rewarding July Horse and Tree
