Groves Debate Team Groves varsity debaters Luke Bagdon and Piper Meloche had a successful first debate tournament at the University of Kentucky's national debate opener in Lexington. In a field of 64 teams from 15 states and DC, Piper and Luke reached the first elimination round before losing to Edgemont HS from New York. They were seeded 19th out of 64 teams after six preliminary debates in which they posted a winning 4-2 record. They defeated the one of the top teams in the country from Westminster Schools in Atlanta in the fourth preliminary round.

Men's Water Polo It's been an exciting start to the season for your Groves Gators. Last weekend the team traveled to Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio Cup Tournament. It was a beautiful weekend to play in the outdoor pools and the team played some incredible games! The JV played hard (with many guys playing both JV and Varsity games) and learned a lot but couldn’t finish on top. Varsity finished 6th place out of 14 teams with record of 3-2. There was some incredibly tough competition, so both teams should be very proud of the way they played!

Wednesday night was our first regular season game at home against Troy High School. 14 turned out to be the Gators lucky number that night. Groves JV team beat Troy 14-3 with Ryan French as top scorer with 4 goals--well done! Groves varsity team defeated Troy 14-2 with top scorers Nolan Kamoo and Connor Cullen scoring 3 goals each--nice hat tricks boys!
