Access to all the included properties is from within the ward. Ensures electoral equality and improves community identity. Retains the community around the village with post office, primary school, recreation ground and shops. Beeston Central 4,033 2 1 Based substantially on the current ward with the addition of around 340 properties currently in Beeston Rylands. Improves the community grouping along the north side of the A6005. Avoids splitting roads by including 93 properties (29 in one complex) currently in Beeston West. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. Beeston North 4,064 2 2 No change to the current ward boundaries. Retains existing community groupings. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. No change therefore considered necessary. Beeston Rylands 3,738 2 -7 Based substantially on the current ward excluding properties moved into Beeston Central. Retains community identity south of A6005 in the north – clear boundaries also to the east, west and southern part of the borough. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. No change therefore considered necessary. Chilwell West 5,910 3 -2 No change to current boundaries which reflect community groupings. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. No change therefore considered necessary. Eastwood Hilltop 4,073 2 2 New ward – reflects the community identity of the existing established Hilltop area. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. Eastwood North & 2,052 1 3 Based substantially on the current ward (Eastwood North & Greasley (Beauvale)) with some roads moved into proposed Greasley ward. Retains the identity of the existing community groupings. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. Kimberley & Cossall 5,815 3 -3 Based substantially on the current ward (Cossall & Kimberley) with some roads in the Cossall parish moved into Awsworth and some properties in the existing West & Greasley () ward being included. Retains the identity of the existing community groupings around the two areas of Kimberley and Cossall. Proposal is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. Nuthall East & Strelley 3,960 2 -1 No change to the current boundaries. Although Nuthall and Strelley are two distinct communities, access to Strelley village is available only from the A6002 which leads to Nuthall. Proposal retains the identities of Nuthall and Strelley and is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. No change therefore considered necessary. Greasley Watnall & Nuthall West 3,712 2 -7 Based substantially on current boundaries with some properties in the Larkfields area being moved into Kimberley & Cossall. Retains existing community groupings and is acceptable in terms of electoral variance. No further changes considered necessary.
