Peddling for the sake of peddling or if you have a place to go, a ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail is an enjoyable way for you to get to your destination. The Cape Cod Rail Trail offers over 30 miles of traffic-free biking, plus the Old Colony Rail Train extension toward Chatham provides an additional scenic ride.
Our cranberry bogs, forests, wetlands, parks and lakes are all visible on the trail. The Cape Cod National Seashore is accessible from the trail. Not only do you have scenic vistas and swimming, there are places to eat along the way.
As of 2019, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is improved giving even more reason to be on the “trail.” Our Dennis Chamber members, the Dennis Cycle Center and Barbara’s Bike Shop, ads below, have bikes available for rental or purchase. Both are on the trail and easily accessible by auto.
