Sibelius Academy

Sibelius Academy was established in 1882 and named after (1865-1957) in 1939.

Sibelius Academy is the only university-level music academy in Finland and one of the largest in Europe.

It is part of the University of the Arts Helsinki since 1st January, 2013.

. Funding mainly from the Finnish Government

. Internationally active  120 exchange partner institutions

. No tuition fees for EU/EEA students . From autumn 2017 onwards non- EU/EEA degree students will be required to pay an annual tuition fee of 5000 euro. Scholarship system will be introduced.

The Sibelius Academy has ambitious plans to enhance its programs and creative atmosphere to strengthen its reputation as a world-class center for academic and artistic excellence.

With the help of our international and highly qualified staff, we attract the best students from Finland and from abroad.

The Academy will build on its enviable reputation in the development of music education and pedagogy.
