DESCRIPTION Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship is a sprint championship with seven rounds scheduled at venues across the country. Its aim is to introduce more enthusiasts into the world of competitive motorsport and is suitable to those with road-going cars. Competitors do not need a rollcage, fire extinguisher or harness to take part.

The Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship operates similar technical rules to the MSVR Elise Trophy & Lotus Cup Europe race series. There will be three separate championships in 2021, one for normally-aspirated Production cars, one for forced induction Production cars and one for faster SuperSport cars. Drivers can easily graduate to racing if they want once they are comfortable with their performance and ready to take the next step.

Each round consists of a 25 minute qualifying session followed by a 45 minute race. Qualifying and the race take place on the same day. The race has a mandatory 2 minute Pit Stop for all teams.

SPECIFCATION The regulations for the series are reasonably relaxed, so that most cars that have already been developed for track days will be eligible.
