PRESS RELEASE – AT-SUNRICE PRESENTS: ‘A NEW TASTE’ at SINGAPORE FOOD FESTIVAL ---Singapore, June 27th 2017---

At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board, presents. “A New Taste”, a series of 5 different events that allow you and your friends to take part in a cultural journey of Singapore heritage cuisine.

Go on a spice hunt in At-Sunrice’s very own urban garden, learn to make incredible beverages using local herbs, cook and plate delicious heritage dishes and grow your own seedlings – all of these incredible Singapore cuisine experiences await you in the EasyChef Lab, designed by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy on the last two Saturdays of July; 22nd and 29th.

SPICE GARDEN TOUR WITH SAMPLERS At-Sunrice is proud to present its very own Spice Garden. Divided into ’10 Kingdoms’, take a journey of this urban garden, guided by EasyChef Lab Chefs. On these grounds you’ll learn about the variety of herbs whilst enjoying pre-prepared delicious foods and beverages that utilise all of the very same fresh produce in their recipes.

POT HERBS AND SPICES Join the At-Sunrice team in our EasyChef Lab to learn about growing fresh herbs and spices. During this hour-long session, you’ll have the chance to understand how organic plants are potted, fertilized and grown. You’ll also have the chance to make a special version of New Pesto, in which you can then take home to enjoy, along with your very own potted plant.

BANANA LEAF FOLDING At-Sunrice Professional Chefs teach you how to make Udang, a delicious Singapore dish that consists of glutinous dyed with blue pea flower, and filled with various fillings such as sweet paste and spicy shrimp. This is then rolled in . Learn how to steam banana leaves, as well as prepare and cook this special heritage dish. This one hour of fun will teach you skills that will last a lifetime.

COOKING AND PLATING HERITAGE DISHES is one of Singapore’s most celebrated heritage dishes. Learn how to cook and plate this mouth-watering dish the At-Sunrice way. Using organic herbs and spices from the At-Sunrice spice garden, this is one hour of cooking that you don’t want to miss!

SINGAPORE STYLE COCKTAILS Freshly picked from our very own spice garden, this event will show you how to use organic herbs to make fresh, delicious beverages. At-Sunrice Chefs will show you their own take on the Nangka Kopi Martini and the all-popular Mojito cocktail.
