We will spend one week in Hamburg to learn about the German culture. Hamburg is often called “’s Gateway to the World”. It is the second largest city of Germany and has a lot to offer: impressive sights, an exciting history, a multicultural lifestyle, and the unique atmosphere of its harbour. What was the Hamburg Firestorm? What does Hansestadt mean? Where do people relax in Hamburg? What is their favourite food? Why are they so proud of the “”? What is so special about the Hafen City? How do we deal with storms and floods and how do we built our houses close to the water? Why should you really have seen the ? These questions and many more will be answered. We will explorer the harbour on a boat trip, we will go inside the townhall, we will walk along the Jungfernstieg, we will explore the atmosphere at the , go the the beach of the Elbe river and we will have the best view over the city from the Michel. We will see the Miniatur Wunderland, go into the Elbphilharmonie and if you want we will go to a musical. This Hamburg experience will surely leave you with unforgettable memories. We will also spend one day together with German students and see how school is in Germany. You will have the chance to talk to students in your age and spend time together with them.
