Ravaud, the best world champion cheese maker in France. The children spent a morning with him and learned the difference between 3 types of cheese: Swiss cheese, brie and goat's cheese. They learnt how to make the cheese and about the different taste.

After watching a documentary about cheese making, the kids had fun making homemade butter. For this, they used a "churn", a tool that turns the cream of milk into butter. For about twenty minutes, they took turns to turn the handle of the churn and vigorously shake the cream until it forms a yellowish mass like butter. The students could even taste cheeses brought by the master cheese- maker and his team. The master cheese maker ended his visit with an interview in the recording studio of Radio Cartable. A big thank you to Bernard Mure-Ravaud for visiting our school!
