“Navigating YUMI to a Successful Future” TAGAI STATE COLLEGE Cowboys Schoolgirl Challenge by Joshua Bishop Sports Coordinator Waybeni Koey Ngurpay Mudh

Bruised, bashed and battered, but with smiles on their faces and heads held high was the Waybeni Koey Ngurpay Mudh U16 girls team as they left the field. The team won four consecutive games to enter the final of the Cowboys Schoolgirl Challenge in . The team flew down to Townsville to compete on Friday 20 October. They showed outstanding skill and determination in the rugby league nines competition hosted by the NRL and Cowboys organisations. NRL development officers made special mention about the Tagai players’ love for footy and the big effort they go to to compete. In the final, they fought a hard battle with Kirwin State High School and were graciously defeated. All players are stronger for the experience and excited about their next opportunity to play.
