Creating stands – Teacher helpsheet.
5mm dowel attached using a low melt glue gun. The stand is a large wooden wheel which the dowel fits into./ 5mm dowel attached to the back of the stars using tape. The dowel is a tight fit into a large mdf/wooden wheel.
A cardboard tube can be attached with a low melt glue gun to create a stable structure. / A small box can be attached to the back of the decoration. Turn the box inside out so that it can easily be decorated.
Thick card flap attached to the back of the Christmas decoration. Will it be attached with glue or tape? / Card triangles attached to the back of the decoration.
These should be created by the teacher to show the children a variety of stands before they design their nativity scene character.
