Abstract: This paper includes the dielectric parameters of various colours soil which have been observed i.e. dielectric permittivity (ε') and dielectric loss (ε''), tan δ with its errors (ε' and ε''), loss and its error. The dielectric relaxation studies are carried out with increasing volume of soil at room temperature using frequency domain technique for 10 and 11GHz frequency range using X-band. The dielectric parameters have been obtained by fitting experimental data with the Sobhanadri’s programming. The experimental observation shows that the permittivity is higher of black soil as compare to other colour soil because it has highest water holding capacity.

Aim: The aim is to develop fuzzy logic support to study the dielectric parameters of different colours soil for geo-physical interest.

Methodology: Creation of FIS (Fuzzy Interference System) using fuzzy tool box of MATLAB

Conclusion and results: Most of the data related to soil is imprecise and numerical in nature. The use of fuzzy supports in quality determination of soil is a qualitative way rather than quantitative. The FIS results demonstrate the potential use of Fuzzy logic in determining the dielectric parameters of different colours soil.
