ALL SCHOOL

·  *Arrival & Dismissal On school days from 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. all students are to enter the building at the cafeteria doors by Korb Field. After 7:55 a.m., students are to enter the front doors. All students are to exit the building by 3:00 p.m. unless they are involved in an after school activity.

·  Bell Schedule today Aug. 30th : we’re operating on the Discipline Assembly Schedule.(8/30)

·  Environmental ClubAttention all Brush students interested in joining Environmental Club! We will hold our first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in A201. We have some exciting projects planned for the year, and we need you on board to make the year successful. See you there!(9/4)

·  No School

o  Monday September 2, 2013- Labor Day

o  Thursday, September 5, 2013 – Rosh Hashanah

·  School Pictures On Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, all 9th, 10th, & 11th graders will have their pictures taken. ***On Wednesday, Sept. 4th, all SENIORS will have their pictures taken for I.D.’s and for the YEARBOOK. ***

·  Retakes for all grades will be taken on October 10th

***NEW DATE for Open House***

(Follow your schedule with your parents and have your parents meet your teachers!)

·  Dress Code Students please adhere to the dress code policy in place. Therefore, young ladies you should not have on sleeveless tops and your shorts and or dresses need to be the appropriate length. Young men once again keep you pants up and you also need shirts with sleeves. Any one violating the policy may have to change, be sent home and/or receive consequences that may include suspension.(9/13)

·  Student Congress- Homecoming 2013

o  ALL SENIOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO WISH TO RUN FOR TOP 25 MUST PICK UP THEIR APPLICATION FORM FROM THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE. INSTRUCTIONS ON THE FORM MUST BE FOLLOWED. DEADLINE FOR THE FORMS TO BE TURNED INTO THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE IS ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2013 BY 3 PM. PLEASE BE PROACTIVE AND PICK UP YOUR FORM TODAY!(9/13)

o  ANYONE WHO HAS ACCESS TO A CONVERTIBLE FOR THE HOMECOMING PARADE ON OCTOBER 18, 2013, PLEASE SEE BRANDON MCGHEE OR MR. LAPLANCHE. WE NEED SEVERAL CONVERTIBLES TO SHOWCASE THE ELECTED COURT FOR THE HOMECOMING PARADE. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS!!!(10/14)

·  Drama Club The Brush Drama Club will be having auditions for the fall play, "You Can't Take It With You" on Tues., September 3 @ 3:30 in the PAC. A wonderful comedy with a lot open roles!!!! All are encouraged to audition. Thank you and hope to see you there!!!(9/3)

SPORTS

·  Cheerleading Squad Clinics and Tryouts: We will be conducting additional Cheerleading squad Clinics and Tryouts starting Tuesday 9/3. Clinics will be Tuesday 9/3 and Wednesday 9/4 from 4-6 in the East Gym. Tryouts will be held on Thursday, 9/5 starting at 4pm in the East Gym. Any students interested must report to the East Gym on 9/3 please bring your report cards to ensure eligibility.

Let’s show our Arc spirit and cheer on our team during the 2013-2014 Football and Basketball season.(9/3)

·  Brush Boy’s Golf Squad improved to 5-3 on the season with a 178-194 victory over Garfield Heights yesterday afternoon. Eli Shlonsky fought through a bad back to earn medalist honors by carding a 37. Also contributing mightily to the win were Dylan Pollack and Luke Wittke.(8/30)
