(1) in Oak trees outside 3rd fl. Of Lot 3 / Hopping from branch to branch, from the far end of the structure until it was right above me, singing and singing the whole was—a lovely sound!
2/28/08 / (1) along walkway S. side of Haines, in bushes and in dirt on outside boundary of shrubs / It was foraging in the branches, then hopped to the dirt. It pecked around in the dirt (in the open & in the sun), and then snuggled its belly down in the dirt for a few moments. It then got up and repeated this action
3/3/08 / (1) In Oaks outside of Lot 3 / Singing—might be nesting territory.
3/10/08 / (Pr.) Between Royce and Haines, in bushes on S. side of Haines / Both foraging in branches of shrubs. One flew down to a sprinkler head in the corner of the grass & was drinking from it.
3/12/08 / (2) in shrubs on N. side of Murphy / Was walking by & heard one singing, which quickly turned to angry scolding noises. I saw the shrubs moving wildly and out tumbled two Bewick’s Wrens! They were locked together & rolling around in the dirt making a terrible racket until one gave up and flew off to some other bushes across the walkway.
