Scripture Text: Eph 2: 1-7

1) Beforecoming to Jesus, we were like prodigal sonwho strayedaway from God, and followed after the spirits of rebellion (Eph 2:2). We hadneither hope nor eternal life.

2) But God has made us alive in His Son Jesus Christ (Eph 2:5), redeemed and washed us by His blood. God demonstrated His great love and mercy by forgiving us and making us his Church(Eph 2:4). Paul tells us that we are now made alive in Christ Jesus. Even though we were once objects of his wrath but now we are seated with Christ in the heavenly places (Eph 2:6).

3) We are saved by grace and not by works. However we are to continue the works which Jesus has done. Jesus says, “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matt 16:18). The church of Jesusis continuing His work on earth to reach out to the lost to set the captives free.

4) God is ready to pour out His glory to His church so that allmay see it. As the Bible says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab 2:14). In these days, God is doing many miracles around the world, healing the sick and bringing many people to salvation through the gospel.

5) God called Ps Lowery to pray and impart his gifts and anointing on the younger generation of pastors. Fathers and mothers should pray for God’s blessing on their children daily, so that the blessings of God will come upon their children.

  1. Pray for God’s protection over the children. Zech 2:5 - “For I …will be a wall of fire all around” them; Deut 28:7their “enemies … come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”; 1 Jn 4:4“…the one who is in you is greater than the one who isin the world.”
  2. Pray forGod’s prosperity upon them. 3Jn 1:2 “…above all things you will prosper even as your soul prosper” (cf. Mal 3:10; Lk 6:38)
  3. Pray for divine health. God not only wants to heal us but wants us to live in divine health 3 Jn 1:2.
  4. Pray for God’s special anointing. God will use our children in these days to glorify His name wherever they are.
  5. Pray for God’s guidance and direction in their lives. That they will have God’s purpose and direction for their lives.
