BenQ’s Latest Designer Monitors Target Graphic Artists and CAD/CAM Professionals

The 4K PD3200U and 2K PD3200Q 32” Professional-Grade Displays Render Colors With 100% sRGB and Rec. 709

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Jan. 24, 2017 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today unveiled the latest models in its designer monitor series. Engineered for the precision creative professionals require, the 32” 4K UHD PD3200U and 2K QHD PD3200Q deliver colors via 10-bit 100% sRGB, following the Rec. 709 color space standard. Complementing vibrant color reproduction, the monitors also offer dynamic picture modes and BenQ’s advanced Eye-Care viewing technology.

“BenQ knows what it takes for creative ideas to come to life: proven color accuracy and fine-tuned modes that ensure every detail of the final product appears that way it was intended,” said J.Y. Hu, vice president, business line management at BenQ America Corp. “Our new PD3200Q and PD3200U pack all of the features that professional graphic designers and CAD/CAM users need, giving them confidence and increased efficiency at every stage of their creative process.”

The 4K UHD PD3200U IPS designer monitor features 3840x2160 resolution, while the 2K PD3200Q VA panel offers 2560x1440 resolution. Both displays offer a wide viewing angle (178 degrees horizontal and vertical) to ensure an optimal experience. Each model also offers three unique viewing modes. The Darkroom mode adjusts the brightness and contrast of images to give designers the clarity and sharpness they need to see details when working in darker post-processing environments. The CAD/CAM mode offers superior contrast on 3D color lines, allowing creatives to easily alter monitor color so that the details of complicated object wireframes are clearly distinguished to prevent missing a line ever again. The Animation mode only enhances the details in dark shadows, enabling professionals to fine-tune creations effortlessly without altering other areas of their composition.

Both models feature an integrated keyboard video mouse (KVM) switch, which allows users to control two different PC systems on one screen from just one keyboard and mouse. The monitors also feature DualView, addressing the need to showcase a design in two different modes side by side on the monitor. The included hotkey puck is an external OSD controller that allows users to quickly switch between the custom modes.

Rounding out the monitors’ benefits is BenQ’s Eye-Care technology, which is designed to increase visual comfort while performing common computer tasks. While conventional screens flicker at a rate of 200 times per second, BenQ’s ZeroFlicker™ technology eliminates flickering at all brightness levels to effectively reduce eye fatigue and provide a more comfortable viewing experience during prolonged sessions of computer use. Further capabilities include ergonomic customization such as height, tilt, pivot and swivel adjustment.

BenQ’s PD3200U and PD3200Q monitors are available now at a retail price of $899 and $499, respectively. More information on the full line of BenQ products is available at www.BenQ.us.
