A date for the diary - Cornwall Business Week – 16 – 20 May 2011

Cornwall Development Company (CDC), Cornwall Chamber and Business Cornwall Magazine have joined together to promote this year’s Cornwall Business Week, commencing on 16 May 2011. The week will see a number of events, seminars and announcements being made showcasing the best of Cornish business.

Key highlights include:

Wednesday 18 May – Cornwall Chamberis hosting a Business Fair at Lemon Quay Market, Truro. The morning will start with a seminar on e-commerce. Businesses are invited to come to Lemon Quay and meet with professional services and other organisations who could assist with your business growth.

Wednesday 18 May – “Cornwall leading the way in marine renewable energy” – Aberdeen-based event. Cornwall will be representing its renewables offer at Scotland’s leading renewables show All Energy. InvestinCornwall is holding an event with A&P, Wave Hub and PRIMaRE.

Thursday 19 May – Cornwall Business Awards

The 6th annual Business Awards will see over 300 of the county’s leading business people come together to celebrate recent success stories.

Nick Blandford, Business Services Manager, Cornwall Development Company added:

“Cornwall Business Week is a great opportunity to not only showcase the business success that exists in the county, but also provide the opportunity for businesses to network and establish what support and expertise is out there that could benefit their business.”

Carolyn Rule, Cornwall Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration commented:

Cornwall Business Week provides an ideal platform to both celebrate and support the diverse range of companies in the county and all the talent that exists.”
