1. Knowing God’s Word will make you a strong Christian

Daniel 11:32b

but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.

1 John 2:14

I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Ps 119:28

My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Thy word.

Ps 119:161

Princes persecute me without cause, But my heart stands in awe of Thy words.

2. Knowing God’s Word will assure you of salvation

1 John 5:13

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 1:21

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

1 Peter 2:2

3. Knowing God’s Word will give you confidence & power in prayer

1 John 5:14,15

And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And… we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

May my heart be blameless in Thy statutes, That I may not be ashamed.

Those who love Thy law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

7. Knowing God’s Word will guide you in making important decisions in your life

Psalm 119:105

Thy word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.

Luke 11:28

“Blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it.”

Thy testimonies also are my delight; They are my counselors.

From Thy precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.

8. Knowing God’s Word will help you articulate your faith

1 Peter 3:15

Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

I will also speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And shall not be ashamed.

9. Knowing God’s Word will guarantee your success (as God’s child)!

Joshua 1:8

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Psalm 1:1-3
